Re-entry Plan

Bridgeway Church Re-entry Plan

We look forward to gathering and worshiping God together in-person again. With thoughtful consideration of our nation and state’s current situation concerning Covid-19, our church has drawn up this re-entry plan. We will continue to seek God’s wisdom and guidance, as well as the guidelines put forth by the CDC, as we move forward in phases during this pandemic. As the body of Christ, we must consider how we will approach our regathering. Firstly, we want to follow God’s greatest commandments to love Him and love our neighbor as ourselves (Matt. 22:37-39). In humility, we will consider the needs of our most vulnerable neighbors above our own. Secondly, we want to mentally approach the different phases of our re-entry and regathering plan with a long-term view. It is important to navigate Covid-19 as a marathon, not a sprint. Please continue to pray that we, as a church, would proceed in the love, wisdom and hope of God. Please feel free to reach out to any of our Staff members or Board of Directors if you have any questions or concerns.

Worship In-Person

Worship Service will begin at 1:45 pm in the chapel.

Worship-at-Home

Livestream Worship Service will continue for those who are more comfortable worshiping from home. Also, we encourage our older members and those with preexisting conditions, who may be more vulnerable to Covid-19, to also worship with us online at home.

Building

Please enter the building through the doors closest to the parking lot. After worship, exit the building through the doors to the right of the chapel foyer. We will try to provide a “touchless” experience by keeping the main doors of the building and chapel open.

Social Distancing/Masks

The chairs in the chapel have been arranged in groups of twos and fours to provide for adequate social-distancing space. Also, in accordance with the Virginia Executive order, masks are required to enter the building of the church. There will be extra masks and hand sanitizers by the entrance. *A mask is not required for infants 2 years of age and under.

Communion

Communion will be observed on the 1st Sunday of each month using individualized cups and bread.

Bridgway Kids

Sunday morning Zoom Bible study classes will continue as usual. There will be no separate Bridgway Kids Service at 1:45 pm, and children are welcome to join their parents for worship in the chapel. *Please have your child/children with you at all times during and after worship.

Tithes & Offerings

Please continue to give online or via text-to-give. The offering box will also be available by the entrance of the chapel.

Small Groups/Meeting

All Small Groups and various meetings will continue virtually online.

Refreshment

No refreshments will be served after worship until further notice.
